There are 2 pieces top of the peak Sharif (3119m) and peak Kenteng Songo (3142m). Gn.Merbabu summit can be reached from Cunthel, Thekelan, (Kopeng / Salatiga) Wekas (Kaponan / Magelang) or from the cello (Boyolali). LANE WEKAS

Wekas is the last village to the summit which takes approximately 6-7 hours. Wekas Path is a short track so there is rarely a flat trajectory stretches. After heading II track begins to open up to meet with the crossing point which is above Kopeng heading V (Watu Tu.lis), Kopeng path. From this intersection heading toward the helipad only require 15 minutes travel time.
The atmosphere and scenery in the vicinity of Post helipad is really quite extraordinary. On the right lies Mt. Steamer which at its peak white as sulfur that has been dried vomit. In front of the eye lies a whitish crater. On the right side near the crater there is a spring, climbers must be able to distinguish between drinking water and sulfur water.
